  Weekly Update Week of May 18, 2026   1 5/18   We have gym.  1 5/19   We have STEM     5/20   We have a late start. We have library centers. Please make sure you returned all books.   5/21   We have Step Up, art, and our trip to Kiwanis.   5/22   We have our trip downtown. WORD WORK: This week our class will continue to learn about adding suffix endings -er and -est to words as in the words big, bigger, biggest.  Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  NWEA: Second graders have worked hard completing their NWEA assessments this past week. Any student who was unable to finish the reading or math tests will complete their tests on Monday, May 18th and/or Tuesday, May 19th. Results will be sent home in your child’s report card.
